Layby is a great way to secure your dream piece of jewellery if you are unable to pay in full at the time you discover it!

 

Duration:

The duration of the layby period is 12 weeks / 3 months.

The layby period begins from the date of the initial deposit.

 

Deposit:

A minimum deposit of 20% of the total purchase price of the jewellery is required to initiate the layby.

The deposit is non-refundable and will be applied towards the total purchase price of the item.

 

Payment Schedule:

Customers are required to make regular payments towards their layby account.

Payments can be made either weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, as agreed upon at the time of initiating the layby. The frequency and amount of payments can be flexible, as long as the total purchase price is paid within the agreed-upon layby period.

 

Non-Payment

Failure to make payments as scheduled and agreed may result in the cancellation of the layby agreement, and the item will be returned to inventory.

If you are having difficulty and need more time to pay please give me a call so we can possibly come to an agreement. Sometimes “life happens” so please reach out if you need to discuss further options. Extended or alternative arrangements with be at the discretion of Scoute Pre-Loved Fine Jewellery.

If you have not paid the layby in full by the end of the 12 weeks / 3 months and I have not heard from you, you will be notified in writing to pay the amount owing and given 14 days to reply. Should no reply be received the jewellery will be returned to the inventory for sale 28 days after the date of layby period end.

 

Cancellation:

You may cancel your layby agreement at any time during the layby period.

If the layby is cancelled, a cancellation fee of 20% of the total price of the jewellery will apply.

The cancellation fee will be deducted from the total amount paid, and any remaining balance will be refunded to you.

 

Receiving Your Jewellery:

Your jewellery  will be released when the full payment of the total purchase price has been paid in full. (including any shipping and insurance costs)

Jewellery purchased by way of layby is covered under the same RETURN POLICY as ‘buy now’ jewellery.
